Whipping those Economic woes

I rarely talk about money where this ministry is concerned. Perhaps that’s because, over the years, I’ve been attacked for even mentioning the subject. However, I’ve been feeling it might be time to journey in that direction again, motivated by the current financial crisis. Yes, having taken the turn that the economy has, it’s only fair to remind Christians of what may well be our secret weapon as we weather this turbulent storm.

It’s called “Giving.” “For God so loved the world that He…GAVE.”

There’s our example.

Please be aware that anything I personally write may be copied for your own ministry purposes; no need to request permission or give credit. I have finally embraced what so many have spoken over me through the years, that is, I am a Scribe for the Lord; He’s the One who gives me these messages that have been a blessing to so many people around the globe since 1999. I have also embraced the concept of “Freely you have received, so freely give” which led me, several years ago, to decide not to charge for my services or sell material. What God has given me to write or speak about is free to all who take the time to read or hear it.

There ARE those who feel led by the Spirit to contribute to this God-ordained cause from time to time (you know who you are). I cannot tell you how much those occasional “surprises” are appreciated and how much encouragement it brings to Barbara and me. Recently, I was asked to speak to a Christian business organization’s monthly luncheon down in south Texas and the caller asked what I charged. I told him, though there would be no fee, I WOULD accept any gifts anyone felt led to give me as I did NOT wish to deprive anyone of a blessing. He chuckled and said, sarcastically, “Well, isn’t that nice of you?” I responded by letting him know I was 100% serious and that the Divine principle of reaping and sowing is as true today as it was in the Book of Genesis, where it was initiated. In a few moments, he asked if I could also speak to his own church that night while I was in town.

If I could “wave a magic wand,” I would ask that everyone who reads these messages commit to sending $5/month via PayPal. Why would I do that? Because those who gave would be VERY blessed for the effort. I believe that with all my heart. As Paul wrote the Philippians, Chapter 4, verse 17, “Not that I am looking for a gift, but I am looking for what may be credited to your account.” I believe this, too. I KNOW this because God is faithful and true to His Word. Barbara and I actually get excited for those who give BECAUSE we know there’s a blessing in store for having obeyed. For their own good, I would tell them, “If you’ve been blessed by this work, bless this work. If you need a blessing, bless this work. If you have not been blessed, many others have been. Be a blessing so that many MORE may be blessed… including YOU.”

I hope, as you visit my website or receive my eMail messages, you will find nourishment for spiritual growth. If I can be of service to you in any way, just let me know.

May God richly bless you in your quest for true spiritual life.

Every blessing,

Michael Tummillo

A servant of God
