A Prayer for the Church at Work
Father God,
As a Priest in your Kingdom, I offer you the sacrifice of praise. I choose to worship you with my work today. My soul magnifies you - I choose to make you bigger and bigger through the things I say and do whether anyone is watching or not.
As a King in your Kingdom, I bring the dominion of King Jesus - the King of kings – into my workplace and everywhere I go today.
I choose to do unto others as I would have them do unto me. I choose to treat people as if they were, at least, an angel and, at most, Jesus Himself. Thank you that I walk in favor with you and with others.
I choose not to enter in to gossip, backstabbing, murmuring and complaining. By your grace, I will be a thermostat in my work environment and NOT a thermometer; setting the temperature rather than merely reading it and “fitting in.” I will make a difference and not merely a living!
I will boldly and unashamedly share my faith and trust in You, Lord, as the reason for my peace in the midst of life’s storms and the unspeakable joy I have during times of trial.
I choose to be content with my wages and I recognize that promotion doesn’t come from anyone but you. I know that, according to Scripture, if I am faithful with the little, you will make me ruler over more. So, I will do every task I am given as unto the Lord.
Thank you that I am being transformed as I renew my mind; I have the mind of Christ and I WILL choose to see my circumstances with a Kingdom perspective rather than the prism of my negative experiences. There are facts and then there’s the truth; I choose God’s Truth.
Thank you that I can find my comfort only in you. Thank you that I am validated only by you and do not find it necessary to seek validation through any other human beings. I am accepted, validated, beloved, empowered, as part of your Kingdom of Priests and Kings, and need not seek anything from any other mortal.
I thank you for being my Comforter. I renounce all other sources of comfort now…all counterfeit comforters that are able to make me feel good only for a moment but fail in their ability to satisfy my needs. Lord, Jesus, YOU alone are my Comforter, granting me victory in my times of need by the Power of your Spirit living in and functioning through me. By that power, I resist the enemy. I break his assignments against me. Thank you that no weapon forged against me will prosper.
I declare God’s Providence over my life. I declare that my sins are forgiven forever and that my slate is clean every single morning as I receive your mercy. I declare that I am the righteousness of God in Christ and that Christ is in me, the hope f glory. I declare that I am a Christian who no more lives in the past, refusing to see myself as the child I once was for today and from now on, I am a child of God - His favorite one - and God’s blessings will overtake me. I walk in Divine health, Divine favor, Divine Providence, Divine safety and live Divinely satisfied by God my Savior.
I thank you for blessing me, Lord, those I care for, my employer, supervisor, mayor, governor and my nation’s President. Bless them with wisdom, health and favor but, most of all, the greatest of all blessings, an intimate relationship with You.
I thank you for ordering my steps and I will be looking for Divine appointments, taking advantage of every opportunity to shine the light of Christ, speak a Word to one who is weary in due season, pray for or with another person and will expect to find a ‘person of peace’ who will receive my message, work with me or receive God’s blessing through my workplace ministry.
I love you, Lord and I pray these things in faith, believing.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen!
