(Author of The Church in the House: A Return to Simplicity)
The Robert Fitts ministry Outreach Fellowship International (OFI) is a many-faceted, loosely-organized group of Believers who try and assist one another in any way we can.
One of the ministries is called “Helpers 1-On-1″ which has allowed me to minister to many brothers in foreign lands by computer, by phone and by mail.
If you think this kind of ministry would interest you, please let Robert know at robertjoni@aol.com.
Whereas I was a Helper to thirty brethren worldwide, Robert is now looking for those who would minister ONLY TO INDIVIDUALS.
In other words, a Christian in Russellville, Kentucky would minister to a brother in Saltpond, Ghana, for example.
It would be between you, the foreign brother and God as to HOW you would minister.
You are NOT ALONE in this ministry as Robert and I would be available for counsel and prayer by eMail and telephone.
Following is an outlined description of the “Helpers One-On-One Ministry.
“Go and make disciples of all the nations,”(Matt 28:19)
“HELPERS 1-ON-1″
Outreach Fellowship International (OFI) is an association of Fellow Workers dedicated to sharing the good news about Jesus. You may be involved in other projects in the Body of Christ, but if God leads you to spend some of your time working with us in these outreach ministries, we welcome you as a Fellow Worker.
The “Helpers 1O1″ concept is to come alongside of another with the purpose of bringing strength, encouragement, help, guidance, understanding, provision, and prayer support with one single goal in mind, to help a Fellow Worker succeed in the work of the Lord in his field of service.
Over the years, the Lord has blessed us with Fellow Workers in other countries who have a similar vision to reach out and multiply simple churches that meet in homes. Out of these churches we help start outreach ministries such as Divine Healing Clinics, Ministry Training Schools, Learning Centers of China, All About Jesus Retreats, and Fellow Worker Retreats.
In Colossians 4:7-17 Paul lists the names of ten of his fellow workers who traveled with him in his missionary work or who assisted him in other ways to get the gospel into the “regions beyond.” They were all servant leaders. It was a “level ground” fellowship, working together as equals in the service of the Lord Jesus, honoring and respecting each other’s gifts and callings.
A Fellow Worker is a brother or sister or couple doing the work of the ministry by helping start simple churches, and/or one of the outreach ministries mentioned above.
How to help a Fellow Worker in another country:
1. Pray for them on a regular basis.
2. Get others to pray in times of danger or in an emergency.
3. Write email letters.
4. Help financially as the Lord leads.
5. Use “”http://Skype.com“” to call anywhere free of charge.
6. Forward helpful material by email or attachments.
7. Share books, tapes, CDs, DVDs using regular mail.
8. Share a prophetic word specifically for your Fellow Worker.
9. Plan a team outreach to your Fellow Worker’s country.
10. Share with other believers what you are doing as a coach.
There are about 240 countries in the world, so we are asking God for 240 Fellow Workers in the USA who will coach a Fellow Worker in another country. Will you ask the Lord if He would have you help us in this ministry? If there is a particular nation that interests you, let us know that as well.
