Calling all Christians!

I just discovered online the following report from a pastor in Uganda posted after I ministered there over the telephone.THE TELEPHONE, mind you!

Yes, the Father will use whosever and WHATsoever we make available to Him. I could not help but be touched
when Sabila informed me that people were coming to the church (a pavilion) through the rain in the
bush. Yes, I was tired (it was 5:30 AM when I got off the phone), but it was SO worth it for being
part of what God was doing there. I have done similar such teleconferences in other countries as well where signs
and wonders followed and Muslims converted upon hearing the Word preached.

“They Want Jesus Instead”: Why Muslims Convert

By Chuck Colson
Monday, March 24, 2008In church yesterday, as you celebrated Easter, did you notice anything-or anyone-unusual?

In churches all over the world, there were millions of people celebrating the resurrection of Christ, who were not there just a few years ago-because they were worshipping in a mosque instead.

It is thrilling evidence that God is doing a mighty work among Muslims. According to the website Islam Watch, in Russia, some two million ethnic Muslims converted to Christianity last year. Ten thousand French Muslims converted, as did 35,000 Turkish Muslims. In India, approximately 10,000 people abandoned Islam for Christianity.

Keep holy the Sabbath Day. . .WHENEVER it is!

I just ran across an article on WorldNetDaily.com written by Joe Kovacs, executive news editor for WorldNetDaily.com.

It had as its heading, with the words “Breaking News” flashing alongside:

SABBATH VS. SUNDAY: THE REST OF THE STORY

WorldNetDaily Exclusive‘Deception’: Christians
war over worship day

Centuries-old clash continues
over disputed commandment

–WND

I decided to drop a line to Joe. I thought my response might serve as a blessing to a few people. Here it is:

Dear Joe,

While reading your interesting article regarding “the Sabbath,” one thing stood out

John Eldridge is…

IS COMING!
It’s the “Walking with God” TourWho is John Eldredge? CLICK HERE and find out.

A few years ago,it seemed everywhere I went, I heard women talking about the wealth of wisdom
they’d tapped into through a book called “Wild at Heart,” a book, I thought, was written just for men.
Whether it was their husbands or sons, this book shed light on the in’s and out’s of why men are the
way they are. In time, I began to hear the testimonies of a few men on the book.

Finger of God, or fake?

 Why Westerners won’t stay healed.

I have received many positive comments regarding my recommendation of the DVD “Finger of God.” As usual, I also received several negatives. I could live on those positive remarks, but it’s the negatives that I feel need to be addressed. Many Westerners have experienced healings, deliverance and incredible manifestations that yielded no fruit, disappeared as quickly as they appeared and, in general, left those who experienced these manifestations scratching their heads and saying, “Now what?”

Scripture says that signs and wonders will follow us. Too often, we are guilty of following after signs and wonders.

Here’s why I’m recommending “Pagan Christianity”.

 . . a book that’s NOT P.C. at all.

Pagan Christianity is definitely NOT “P.C.” The Churchians in our midst won’t appreciate this book one bit. We’ve been dumbing down The Body for years and, when God uses “Li’l Thinkers” like Frank Viola to start shining light in our dark places, many people get their knickers in a twist. Welcome to my world, paison!

For starters, I liked the book the first time I read it. So, I just read this second version with George Barna’s input, another Author whose books I own. I like “PC” better this time. Maybe I’ve changed since reading the first one. Hope so.

The Shack…READ IT!

Have YOU read “The Shack” yet? It’s phenomenal. Barbara and I read it. We cried, we laughed out loud. It was called “A Modern Day Pilgrim’s Progress.”

We gave copies at Christmas and bought extras to hand out to friends. Everyone LOVES this book. Everyone has a “shack” they need to return to.

The author, Paul Young, was on the 700 Club today. Check out the interview:

Here’s the description of the book and stuff about Paul:

Let’s see who’s reading the Bible!

When was the last time you read the Bible? I came across some interesting statistics from the respected Barna Research Group regarding Bible reading.

  • Bible Reading During A Typical Week By Year: 2006-47%, up from 36% in 1988. Great! Down from 47% in 2006.
  • 96% of evangelical Christians have read the Bible in the past seven days. (2006)
  • Women (51%) are more likely than are men (42%) to have read the Bible in the past week. (2006) According to Barna’s statistics, over the years, it’s always been that way.

A MUST-SEE VIDEO!

OMIGOSH! I just finished watching a video entitled “Finger of God,” a documentary by Darren Wilson,

a man on a quest, who was looking for those things miracles that so many of us hear about and then caught

them on film. Naw, that’s not what it’s about. Sure, it covers some of that but it really about the people God uses to

accomplish these miracles.

No, that doesn’t do it justice either.

You gotta see it for yourself. It’s amazing how Darren goes from the USA to Mozambique to Paris to
