More on Stephenville’s UFO Show

Lately, there’s been a great deal of talk regarding the recent UFO sightings in my hometown of Stephenville. Personally, I’ve noticed an increase in Air Traffic, not to mention news vans from places like Fox Television. I’m not the only one to notice those things either. From the local newspaper to the BBC and Good Morning America on TV yesterday, Stephenville’s suddenly on the map of the world.

The last time I heard so much chatter about this town was back in the 90’s when high schoolers defied the school district and State law and brought a P.A. system to the football game so they could pray before kick-off. I lived in Arlington but I recall the news reports. Visiting the town back then, it seemed that everywhere I looked, there was a bright yellow T-shirt that read “I PRAY BEFORE I PLAY.”

You may have read the prophecy that was posted on The Elijah List on November 11th, just two months ago. If not, it’s worth reading. Portions were printed in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram earlier this week. By the way, there’s another article in that paper today. After re-reading the prophecy, certain aspects of that utterance have caught my attention.

For starters, “He [God] said there will be a cosmological phenomenon that scientists cannot explain, and the media will carry as front-line news.” Well, that’s certainly happening.

The prophecy also stated that “People will begin to ask about “the Light.” They will remember the Child in the manger; the Lord is calling His Church to tell them about the Child in the manger and the Man of the Cross.”

Did you catch that? The Lord is calling His Church - you and me - to do something besides attend church services.

More? The prophecy went on to say,”For a period of four months–from Christmas to Easter–there will be a window of opportunity for salvations, signs, healings and wonders in Texas, and this season of extraordinary favor and grace will manifest and be confirmed in unusual cosmic occurrences.”

I’m 100% certain that there are ALWAYS opportunities for salvations, signs, healings and wonders. For the Christian, the supernatural should be, well…NATURAL. Too often, sadly, that’s not the case. The prophecy stated, however, that this was an upcoming SEASON, a window of increased opportunity as it were.

So, what can The Church proclaim at this time? I was speaking to a 12-year old last night about all this UFO stuff. He said the kids at school are scared and admitted that he, too, was a bit frightened by it all. I reminded him that there actually WAS an alien being that came from “outer space.” He perked up, listening attentively. Some Earthlings actually approved of this alien but, in the end, others had him killed (I shared with him that one of the men who claims he saw a spaceship through his rifle lens this weekend admits that he ALMOST took a shot. Why do so many choose to kill what they don’t understand?) The alien only came to help mankind; to save us. He possessed the answer to every question known to man.

His name was Jesus.

Those who follow Jesus are aliens, too. We’re not from here; we’re just passing through. We can’t expect to get comfortable here and will NEVER be satisfied by the stuff planet Earth has to offer.

What the Bible has to say about all this alien stuff is actually quite alien to most people.

Ephesians 2:18-19 declares: “For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit. Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with God’s people and members of God’s household…”

Hebrews 11:12-14, referring to Abraham’s descendants and Old Testament heroes of the faith says, “…All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance. And they admitted that they were aliens and strangers on earth. People who say such things show that they are looking for a country of their own.

I agree wholeheartedly that we Christian Texans have been given a window of opportunity, whether one believes the prophecy or not. Let’s take advantage of this opportunity! People need to know that there’s a God who loves them to their core and wants to care for their needs. He wants to work FOR them, WITH them and THROUGH them.

If you’d like to learn more on this subject, just read the Bible. “The Truth is in there!”

Every blessing,

Michael Tummillo
