UPDATE: KENYA
Though the shooting, killing and burning has stopped, thanks to our God, there remain many displaced Kenyans, brothers and sisters who have lost everything - including loved ones - during the recent civil unrest.
A fellow minister named Benedict writes requesting aid. He said: “May God bless you for standing with us for prayers. Right now the stuation is bad, Michael. Yes we have returned back in our homes but we are challenged due to lack of something in the pocket to buy food. Please send to me anything that you have.”
I have read the reports of how, as a result of the violence, many shopkeepers have raised their rates, fully aware that the poor people have no choice but to buy at any cost. Those who were left with nothing are, literally, starving.
