Read ‘em and Reap!
I’ve been writing for a living for over 25 years, either as an ad copywriter or a newspaper reporter. No one is more aware than I am that I get no more glory for writing the articles I broadcast than that donkey colt received while carrying Jesus on its back amidst a hail of Hosanna’s. If anything, I marvel that God chose me - a one-finger typist who hates computers - for an online ministry. What a sense of humor, that guy!
To those who delete these messages without giving them a read, or those who read them without sharing with others, I’d like to share some of the past year’s comments that I’ve received from other readers who were blessed. After reading them, please pray regarding whether the Father would have YOU forward these messages to YOUR eMail address list, too. We never know WHO will be blessed by any particular message. Also, feel free to leave comments below.
Regarding “When Charismania comes to Church,” Alyssa writes:
I LOVED your article. Your boldness made me smile several times. I received an infilling of the Holy Spirit and with it the gift of tongues (my prayer language as I call it) about 3 years ago and my life hasn’t been the same. I go to a church that won’t openly acknowledge these “gifts” because it is very seeker friendly and fears it will scare people. I don’t feel that I have to hide my gift but I do respect other’s comfort levels. I am very open about it in conversations with others so that it isn’t seen as “weird”. I’m just an ordinary believer with just another gift promised to all in the NT. It has been a tremendous source of power and strength for me during trials. Thanks again for your article, attempting to normalize this beautiful gift.”
About “Faith in the Workplace,” Cathy writes:
“This is a great article. We are who we serve and if we serve God then every part of our life should reveal it. It is great that we have examples of Jesus’ life and ministry in the workplace because then the world can’t try to confuse us into believing that it is wrong to bring our faith to work. “It is usually very difficult for a writing to grab my attention. But this article is so seasonal and profound. God is really cracking down on traditions and doctrines that men hold precedence over Him…Keep up the great work of spreading the message of the kingdom abroad. I really enjoyed this.”

Regarding “Praying Church or Playing Church,” Nell writes:
“Really agree with this message and it has convicted me..our pastor preaches a lot like this. I have sent out your message to a lot of people and have had some feedback; all good…I just pray that more pastors will bring this kind of message from the pulpit. Wringing hands over the state of world and our nation isn’t doing any good…II Chron. 7:14 but the church, per se, is proud and cannot receive that they too need to repent, not just the “world out there.” Thank you again for a powerful message to the true believers.”
After reading “Are YOU an apostle,” Matthew wrote:
“A very sound article Michael. I was very happy to read it. You are a wonderful teacher and I wish millions of people would see this article.”
I could go on. Point is, God will use whatever we make available to Him. In my case, a writing talent, a computer, my availability, my obedience and some amazing moments of “wilderness” education.
