Men’s Retreat!

You are invited to a Simple Church Men’s retreat in the hills of West Tennessee! Oct. 26th thru Oct. 28th (Friday evening thru Sunday lunch) we will gather together as brothers under the Lordship of Jesus to share His working in our lives! The agenda (as much as we can have one without interfering with the Holy Spirit!) centers on our collective hearing from God and sharing our stories. Everyone brings something to the table!
With that said, a couple of issues seem to be putting themselves on the table:
1) Why, in the Divine strategy, does God put such premium on uniting / relating together? What is the power & purpose of our networking together? Should we just “do-our-own-thing” and forget the big picture?
2) The Voice of God. How can we learn to hear the voice of God more clearly? A few practical exercises on “hearing God” may be in the works.
This is your retreat. It will not be lecture based. We plan on significant free time for hanging out and getting to know one another but also we will explore various conversations “world cafe” style. Come prepared to contribute.
If you can camp, bring your tent, sleeping bag, etc. Limited RV camper space is available (electric only). We have a cabin & dining hall that will sleep 12-15 guys. There are motels within 15 minutes if you prefer the “easy life” and have transportation. Musicians feel free to bring your instruments for those “worship jam sessions”!
There is no cost for the retreat, however meals will be provided so please send $10 (non refundable) to help defray the food cost. Please send this by Oct. 15th as it will serve as your registration (so we can purchase the right amount of food). Send to:
