A servant of God
Testimony, deliverance and power of God (this paragraph is from the
group “Parfait” that was working with in the Muyinga province.)
I want to tell you about some woman who is name Agnes. That woman
was possessed by demons and she seemed like a paralytic. When we
arrived there with my friend we told her about JESUS Christ and his work.
That moment she decided to receive Jesus as Lord and Savior. We start
to thank the Lord for her and to ask the Lord to deliver her. In that time
we put the hand upon her and she got deliverance & she began to praise
God because she is going to be(?) a young daughter. There was an
Anglican man who saw that & decided to give Jesus his life. That man
and Agnes decided to announce it their family and Agnes decide to
come at church.
Although she decided to come to church, she didn’t get time and in
that city we saw many young peoples of 20 yrs. old give their life to
Jesus. This is the testimony of Agnes and her city.
I want to tell you about my friend Clovis. Wednesday morning we
went to the field of gospel, Clovis on his way started to preach & he
met with some woman who was ill about one week by suffering in her
back (mugongo). When Clovis saw her he began to tell her about
Jesus as Savior & that he can heal her. When she heard that she
decided to give her life to Jesus. In that moment Clovis put the hand
upon her and she got deliverance and woke up healed to go where
she wants. Thursday morning she came to see Clovis testifying that
she is OK now.
We saw many people beseeching us to return back to Muyinga
because they are weak and want us to come again to empower
them to go house to house. I replied to one of them that if God wishes
we will be back.
Even while God did those things with us we were so attacked
by demons, the religious and witches. But we saw the power of
God protecting us because some witches decided to give their life
to Jesus. One of us was attacked but we prayed and God granted
our prayers. Thank for reading this testimony may our God bless

In total 1600 were saved and now need to be followed up.

This from other missionaries in 3 more provinces, particularly from
the group Chantal was working in (in Cibitoke Province)
This was 10 people going to Cibitoke province. 2 by 2 were going
while reaching almost every house in the focused area.
3 witches gave their lives to Jesus and the evil power influence in
that area was conquered by Jesus power and people have become
more receptive. It was wonderful to see how prostitutes were giving
up their evil practice and receiving the gift of eternal life. 10 of them
are saved now.
More than 1000 people repented.
From the group who went to Gitega
There was a great resistance to the point of having some of us put
in jail for some days because the religious people and others who
were hostile to the gospel thought it was the best idea for them to
stop the gospel by throwing people into jail. As long as some were
in jail , we believed that it was God?s plan to reach those in prison
because right after sharing the gospel with the people in jail our
missionaries got released. So it became an encouragement to
getting out of the prison, if you preach the gospel there.
Sick people & paralyzed men were commonly delivered as in the
early church time. It is amazing to operate such miracles in an area
and keep it secret, not propagate it or cry it out. This is humility
because we know that it is not us but Jesus operating through us.
It is only by knowing this that the power of God starts to overflow
through every preaching and prayer that you do.
About 1300 people were saved..
In the Last province we worked in, 1900 people got saved.
This was Kirundo province. 2 years ago people died of hunger and
more than a half of the Kirundo population fled out to Rwanda and
other countries. Last year donors gave food and seeds to the
population to sow. Now almost every one is back home in that province.
I firmly believe that in those times of physical restoration, God the Father
wanted to bless and visit these people more than ever. That?s why he
sent his servants to preach the gospel and give them the gift of eternal life.
People were receptive, i am sure it’s because they were already
prepared by God Himself while they were dying of hunger. They knew
that death is always there, now they have to give a positive choice to
the Gospel, the only way of having life.
Greg’s comments:
Apparently I didn’t have all the information when I wrote that we had
3,900 converts in those crusades, because this adds up to 4,800.
Although we do have many evangelistic church planters often working
independently, which is the glory of God revealed, God used my partner
Bievnvenu to coordinate this work with other ministries & to help support
the travel expenses of our traveling team members, so I am glad to help
him support very modest house/ministry center, communications & part
of the ministry travel expenses in Burundi. Besides all this amazing
expansion has come through his planting with me, but mostly him, 2
house churches in April of 05 & his diligent support & training of hundreds
of new leaders & thousands of new converts.
It’s been 3 weeks since I sent any money & that was only $500 to
help two partners travel to the US, which didn’t happen, but Beinvenu
has used part of it to replace the stolen phone, & some to travel to &
assist my Rwanda partner in both ministry & ministry-supporting business.
But my stretching to invest in Africa & the slow time in Heating &
Cooling, has put me on the ragged edge in this country. At the
moment I only have about $2.50 each in my 4 business accounts
after my helpers paycheck goes through. I’m praying for money to
catch up on the child-support for my 20 year old, but in college
daughter & to pay two low-priced but seriously overdue telephone
book ads, not to mention the travel expense for my upcoming October
trip to Rwanda & South Africa.
But I’ve made great progress financially, since I finally paid my overdue,
internet & electric bills, got the mostly unusable bedroom almost
completed, filled the holes in the drive with gravel & my low-priced part
time mechanic is about to get my minivan running which hasn’t run since
the day I left the country Feb 10th leaving me forced to drive a gas hog,
93 Econoline, especially since the accident destroyed my motor assisted
trike.
Pray for me to get some good jobs & if God wants you to contribute any
amount. I expect to use contributions for ministry travel expenses at this
point. I think it’s a great investment to travel to teach at the mission
school in South Africa, because, I’m sure I’ll connect with several hard
working young missionaries who will expand our disciple-making New
Wave work dramaticly. Plus I’m eager to encourage our partners in
Rwanda who have grown to at least 64 house churches since we only
spent a few days with them back in late Feb.
I’ve just barely had enough money to finish 1 job & woke up one day
with only 3 cents in my main account & right now I’m stretched to finish
a job tommorrow & another one in a week or so. Something would’ve
bounced tommorrow, but I got $99 for a service call last night, that is
drawn on my bank, so I can cash it & deposit it tomorrow, assuming
I have enough gas to get there:).
