9th annual “Scriptures in Schools” week (SIS), when young people in public

schools across America are encouraged to bring their Bibles to school each

day.

generated some wonderful, powerful responses in

The Rev. John Greenfield, an American Moravian evangelist, published his book “Power On High” in 1927 on the 200th anniversary of the Moravian revival. The information in this article is from that book, now out of print. The Moravians, a refugee colony from Bohemia, settled on the estates of Count Nicholas Zinzendorf in Herrnhut, Germany, where a powerful revival began in 1727. It launched 100 years of continuous prayer and within 25 years 100 Moravians were missionaries, more than the rest of the Protestant church had sent out in two centuries.

I often use this example of the effects of divorce upon a couple: Imagine taking

two pieces of typing paper and gluing them together. Allow the two conjoined

sheets to dry overnight. The next day, find the corners of both sheets and

that was interrupted - never completed - because of lightning strikes. His region

Sex was a great idea.

Of course it was…it was GOD’s idea. But just like any other great idea He’s

given mankind (electricity, for example), if it’s misused, its destructive power

can be unleashed.

What makes me mad is how often I hear about lives that are being destroyed

simply because one partner or the other can’t keep their pants on. Friends, I

hear it all the time. I’m sick of it! Whether it’s a husband caught viewing porn or

a woman whose been cheating on her husband with a guy at the office, I’ve

tremendous work for our Lord with very limited resources. God has shown

Himself to be so faithful in providing resources and allowing me to link

these people together with American missionaries who just “happen” to

be headed that way.

Christ, funds poured in to assist these brothers in their Kingdom work

when they made their needs known. In each case, because I have been

I believe God desires to transform this nation - from its civic organizations to its

Fortune 500 businesses. The Institutional Church can only impact a small fraction

of these areas. As I see it, God’s strategy is to empower those of His people who

are already operating in these places to co-labor alongside Him in bringing about

this transformation. While there are currently around 4,000 Workplace Chaplains

now serving in America’s workplaces, at the current rate of growth, it is estimated

there will be 20,000 by the end of the decade.

You are invited to a Simple Church Men’s retreat in the hills of West Tennessee! Oct. 26th thru Oct. 28th (Friday evening thru Sunday lunch) we will gather together as brothers under the Lordship of Jesus to share His working in our lives! There was another one out not long ago entitled, “The Kingdom of God.”

I amazed how often God uses the stuff of earth as a reminder of His concerns.

He’s often done this in the past as well. Start noticing. Maybe you’ve heard

many more teachings, as I have lately, pertaining to His Kingdom.

I was quite surprised when, not too long ago, an older Christian man asked me,
in all seriousness, to explain to him The Kingdom of God.

GOOD NEWS FOR ERATH COUNTY!

Dr. Eddie Salyer (Salyer Chiropractic Clinic in Dublin), has started up

a NEW Christian Organization! It’s a non-denominational gathering that’s

part of the growing Faith at Work Movement. You may have read or heard

about it (see below)

It’s called “His Church @ Work.” They’re meeting once a month from noon till

1PM and will have special speakers, prayer and information we all need to be the

most effective - and smart - witnesses we can be at the one place where we

spend the majority of our time…WORK!

He tells me the group’s first meeting is coming soon!

A new web-site called “HouseChurchResource.org” will launch on October 1st, 2007.
