Americans: Money to Burn?
The Body of Christ - Americans as a whole, actually - are truly, for the greatest
part, a very giving group of people. According to msnbc.com, “Americans gave
nearly $300 billion to charitable causes last year, setting a new record and
besting the 2005 total that had been boosted by a surge in aid to victims of
hurricanes Katrina, Rita and Wilma and the Asian tsunami. Donors contributed
an estimated $295.02 billion in 2006, a 1 percent increase when adjusted for
inflation, up from $283.05 billion in 2005. Excluding donations for disaster relief,
the total rose 3.2 percent, inflation-adjusted, according to an annual report
released Monday by the Giving USA Foundation at Indiana University’s
Center on Philanthropy.”
Though we may not be what the Institutional Church defines as “tithers,”
truth is, we DO support causes as they are made known to us.
In recent weeks, I have made known the needs of others who have written me
requesting aid. Rest assured, those who ask for help are either known by me
PERSONALLY or by dear, close friends of mine who can vouch for their
legitimacy.
In one case, a man from Pakistan needed $1300 to buy a new motorbike, a small
125cc that most Americans would be embarrassed to be seen upon. After one
eMail, total strangers were sending money to my PayPal account. We wound
up sending him $1650. You can stop now.
In another instance, a California woman was asking for help raising $500 for a
plane ticket to Ohio so that she could assist with a children’s home there.
Today she writes, “I wanted to say that I do appreciate your sending the mail
out to let people know my need. But I am asking that you would send an
e-mail to everyone and let them know that my need has been met…I have
already purchased my ticket to Ohio…thanks for getting the Word out that
I have my ticket. Thanks and God bless You. Karen.”
LATEST NEEDS…
TEXAS
I met Shirley Thompson while I was speaking in San Antonio recently. She
sends the following Prayer Request…
The doctors give Russell Stone a 10-20% chance to live. If he does live, there
is a high percentage that he will be permanently and severely brain-injured.
Please pray for a miracle. Our God is a Big God who heals. He is the Life-Giver.
He is able. We trust Him.
Thank you for partnering with us in prayer. God is glorified by your intercession.

CALIFORNIA
We have a small group of 7 adults and 11 kids in our church now,
unfortunately we are all not in the greatest financial situations. We have
one couple, the husband has been out of work all summer, just got
hired on with the school district and starts on the 22nd, however they
have fallen behind on there mortgage. We have come up with about
400.00 to help but they are 2200.00 in the hole. I was wondering if
you would pray about this and if prompted send out this need to your
subscribers. I have solicited everyone we have here in the area with
very little success. Please let us know. Any help would be deeply

WEST AFRICA
Our very first and desperate needs is to have more and more spiritual
materials which are happy that you can bless us with and we also need
Bibles which we do not have and other spiritual materials which you
publish. We would like to tell you that the internet is very expensive and
we cannot be able to download or print materials out of the internet.
We therefore request if you bless us with materials or bibles please
you will use our postal address for it is a bit cheaper.
Secondly, we were happy to note that you are a stronger advocate for
orphans and widows whose numbers are very great here in our country
due to HIV/AIDS pandemic, diseases and poverty. We are praying that
God may find a way for these needy people to have a way of living a
life that glorifies the name of the Lord. Please pray for this need so that
the Lord may speak a word.
We are praying that God may open an opportunity that you may come
over one day to see the work that the Lord is doing here and to minister
to the saints here in Africa. We believe that the anointing upon you
from the Lord will be a blessing to us too.
Lastly, may our good God bless you as we hope and pray to hear from
you and may the Lord bless you wonderfully in His service.

Greetings from Ghana in the Wonderful name of Jesus.

my e-mail. I did watch the various speakers and their interviews, it was
great and fantastic.
In fact, I have developed a new love for this House Church and I am
putting this before you that , come over into Macedonia and help us.You
can come with those ministers in the video clip to coach and teach me
and my people more about the House church.
We are expecting you and your team in Ghana next year March or date

AMERICAN CIRCUIT PREACHERS
I know many Circuit Preachers who are criss-crossing the country at
this time who could use the funds to get them there. As you recall, The
Early Church SENT the apostles (meaning “sent ones”) - these people didn’t
“pass the hat” once they arrived hoping to raise enough money to get home
again after they ministered, the pattern we see most often exhibited today.
Whenever we see Paul doing so, he was raising money for others.
So, LET’S SEND THEM! If you are interested in sending them as the Spirit
leads them to go, just ask and I’ll provide details regarding who, when and
