Deliver us from Evil

One day, as I sat quietly at my computer in the loft of our cabin in the woods,

I heard a soft, almost undetectable “zinging” sound.

Zing… Zing… Zing.

Over and over it went. There were no other sounds in the house as my wife

was at work in town.

Zing… Zing… Zing.

Gradually, I became aware of how close that sound was to me. Slowly, I turned

my head and looked toward the air vent on the floor where the sound was

coming from. Unbelievably, there was a snake - about 3 feet long - pulling itself

Americans: Money to Burn?

The Body of Christ - Americans as a whole, actually - are truly, for the greatest
part, a very giving group of people. According to msnbc.com, “Americans gave
nearly $300 billion to charitable causes last year, setting a new record and
besting the 2005 total that had been boosted by a surge in aid to victims of
hurricanes Katrina, Rita and Wilma and the Asian tsunami. Donors contributed
an estimated $295.02 billion in 2006, a 1 percent increase when adjusted for
inflation, up from $283.05 billion in 2005. Excluding donations for disaster relief,
the total rose 3.2 percent, inflation-adjusted, according to an annual report
released Monday by the Giving USA Foundation at Indiana University’s
Center on Philanthropy.”

Jesus @ Work: The Church

We are “The Church” everywhere we place the soles of our

feet or the seat of our pants.
Everywhere, not just a Sunday morning pew. A living room

couch, a booth at Denny’s, a lawn chair in the yard, your

cubicle at work…everywhere!
What does the word “church” mean?
According to my dictionary, it stems from the Middle English

“chirche”, and the Old English “cirice”, ultimately from the

Late Greek “kyriakon”, which comes from the Greek, neuter

of “kyriakos” meaning “of the lord,” which comes from

Because I wish you well…

This was a memo I sent out to my coworkers today. It’s not your typical memo. Not your typical devotional either. But I was motivated by my love for the people I work with and my desire to tell them the truth.

My boss replied, “YOU are so right on this one! Thank you, Di.”

An Administrator at one of our facilities wrote, “Thanks Mike……….I am making a copy for the breakroom.  Del.”

A woman who actually received the message “by accident” wrote, “Way to go. Thanks for this one, Beatriz.”

I hope it blesses you, too!

Oh, Danny boy!

To those wondering about the whereabouts of Circuit Preacher, Daniel Markoya, he has made it safely to Stephenville, ministered mightily at our House Church Wednesday night to over twenty, and, today, is ministering to a group in Coppell. Since arriving Wednesday night, he has received a phone call to minister to a new House Church in San Angelo, Texas as well as one in North Carolina. Sunday, he will be ministering at another local House Church and several from my own church will be joining that group.

Pray this daily!

Following is a Prayer of Personal Renunciation;
deliverance, if you will. I believe that, if we will
print it out and pray this daily, the enemy will
see that we are serious about walking freely and
victoriously and he will leave us alone. If he dares
to try and come back, resist him again. YOU WILL
GET FREE! This is merely a model. Feel free to revise
it and pass it along. In the early Church, such
prayers of renunciation - even exorcisms - were
standard fare before baptism. You shall know
the truth and the truth will set you free. Problem?
Too many Christians don’t KNOW the truth. We
get saved but live in bondage. This prayer will
help you to walk in power and victory.

Assimilate the Newbies!

If it were up to me, the first three years of a new Believer’s Christian life
would be spent completely excluded from corporate Church life,
assigning them, instead, to some sort of school for solid training in the
Doctrine of Christ away from any manmade, traditional or demonically-
inspired religious influences. I sometimes wonder if THAT is the REAL
reason why God is leading so many Christians AWAY from traditional
forms of Christianity in the West; a sort of purification process.
Perhaps He can work better with wet clay. Too many Christians are
simply drying up, dying on the vine as it were. Just a thought.

My friend, Daniel Markoya

Gideon’s 300

Please read the following letter from our Brother Gideon in Africa. If the Spirit moves your heart, as He has mine, let us sow into this fertile mission field. I believe there are at least 300 people who can send at least  $5 RIGHT NOW via www.PayPal.com. I’ve “westernized” his letter for ease of reading. Please respond if you are interested in helping. My chiropractor recently sent me $400. When I asked him why he gave two reasons: 1) He trusted me to do God’s will with it. 2) He needed a blessing; he understands reaping ands owing. Gideon writes:

Shifting from ‘Professional’ to ‘Relational’ Christianity

This article was FORWARDED to me today with no reference as to who the author was. I liked it and hope it will bless you.

Michael

In many ways the American church has become more like a business. We must shift from power suits and CEOs to wet feet and holy kisses.

Last month during a luncheon for pastors and church leaders in suburban Baltimore I called five people to the front of the room and asked them to sit in chairs facing the group. Then I called some other leaders to kneel in front of them and wash their feet.

Will America go a Bridge too far?

The following facts about the recent Minnesota bridge collapse are, if

nothing else, REALLY interesting.

Abraham Lincoln, March 30, 1863…

We have been the recipients of the choicest bounties of Heaven. We

have been preserved, these many years, in peace and prosperity. We

have grown in numbers, wealth and power, as no other nation has

ever grown.

But we have forgotten God.

We have forgotten God.

We have forgotten the gracious hand which preserved us in peace,

Christians…let’s get to work!

Christians…let’s get to work!

There are currently over 4,000 Workplace Chaplains who have been

hired by secular companies…Ford Motor Company, Sears, Pilgrim’s

Pride Chicken, and many others…to come into their facilities and

minister to their employees. This does not include hospital chaplains,

military, fire and police chaplains. The Harvard Business School has

determined that those businesses who do likewise will receive a $4

return on every dollar invested in areas such as increased loyalty and

decreased absenteeism. It is estimated that, at the current pace, by the

A Very Generous Man

The following message was received from my friend, Tommy Musick, who leads a House church here in Stephenville. Tommy, as some will recall, wrote an article a few months ago entitled “God’s Blessing is revealed through Giving.” It received such a positive response that I’ve made it a permanent “menu” item on the right hand side of my website under “You and your finances.” Red it. You’ll be blessed.

A Very Generous Man

I am writing this article as a follow-up to the previous one titled “God’s Blessing is revealed through Giving”.

I de-CLARE!

Christians are notorious for making declarations. For instance, we
declare that the Bible is the Word of God. We declare our faith in
Jesus Christ. We declare that Jesus is Lord of all. We declare the
sanctity of marriage, the sanctity of life. We esteem our nation’s
Declaration of Independence.

The Bible’s Old and New Testaments have over 500 references to
the words declare, declared or declaring including, “You shall
declare a thing and it will be established for you,” Job 22:2.

Group demands closure of House Churches

I received this message today from our Brother Eman Abrea, the

minister who needed $1000 to get to Indonesia. Last I’d heard, $800

had been received. Can you help? This courageous brother writes:

Dear Praying Friends,

The Lord is opening another opportunity for me to minister to our

Indonesian brothers and sisters this month. After I received an

invitation to be the main speaker in their 3-day conference, a

friend of mine send this news to me. Please read below:

They’ll know we are Christians by our love.

I find no example of the Apostle Paul ever taking an

offering for himself. Nothing against those who do; he states clearly

that it’s fine for one to earn his living off the Gospel, he apparently

opted out. He DID, however, take collections for OTHERS who

were in need. It’s in that same spirit that I write the following.

Recently, I was absolutely amazed at the outpouring of
finances that came in when I broadcast a message that a
young Pakistani minister, who had planted nearly 900
churches, could use a $1300.00 motorbike to do his

THIS you gotta see!

Every peach on the tree isn’t ready for harvest at the same moment.

Some will seem to leap into our hands while others won’t come off

the branch at all.

That’s fine. Everything in its time.

Likewise, when God’s Spirit is moving, some of us are bound to ignore

what’s happening before our own eyes. Things that have been taking place

in third world nations where Christianity is flourishing under persecution

are beginning to take place in the West, too.

Who among us has eyes to see? For a long while, my honest, humbled
