Local Texas Bike Race: Just another Opportunity

As you may have heard, North Central Texas has been hit hard with rain lately.

LOTS of it. Rising waters have cost several lives and many homes have been

destroyed and lives turned upside-down. The creek in the woods nearby

sounds like a beautiful flowing river. We love the sound of it - so long as it

stays within its banks.

Despite the storm forecast, an annual event took place today and went without

a hitch. It’s called the Firecracker 100 Bike Ride & Race, as much a picture

From Our man in Pakistan!

From Our man in Pakistan!
I hope you will be blessed by the following dialogue with Iftikhar, a
young minister in Pakistan who has planted 800 churches. Jesus is
STILL healing people!I am convinced that, if only the American Church would stop seeing the
healing ministry as an add-on program among our many “Churchy”
activities, and would start utilizing the gift as a means for getting the
world’s attention - while comforting our afflicted brethren, of course -
THEN we would see the same kind of revival, soul-winning and
miracles that are being experienced so regularly in third world nations.

Last Chance to Help

As you may already know, we are trying to raise the money to buy a new motorbike for a 29-year old pastor in Pakistan that has planted over 800 churches there. If you desire to give to this worthwhile cause - sow into this fertile soil - NOW’s the time! Remember, we reap sparingly because we sow sparingly.

I’ll be sending the money via Western Union this weekend. Please use PayPal.com at this point and specify “Pakistan” when you do.

Imagine if we ALL gave $5 or $10!

AMBER ALERT: A very REAL situation

This is a very REAL situation of a child abduction. I have personally
checked this out on snopes (a site that deals with hoaxes) and it is a
REAL situation (CHECK OUT http://www.snopes.com/inboxer/missing/mccann.asp). As a
father of four with four grandbabies myself - and with an international
online ministry - I became convicted that we, together, by FORWARDING
this message to everyone we know, could spread the word among
MILLIONS in a day if we only will.

We can help find this child!

Satan hates children. He always has. Today, his attacks against the childen
- our future - are everywhere.

A favor from my friends!

Recently, I had broadcast a message to local Institutional Church pastors
asking for an opportunity to come and speak in their assemblies. i reasoned
that I have not because you ask not, amen? Well, as God would have it, I’ve
just received my first “nibble.”

I have been asked by an Institutional Church minister to provide referrals
regarding my ministry to aid him and his leadership team in making a
decision as to whether or not to invite me. Incidentally, another local minister
whom I have not met, has asked that I have coffee with him. Hey, who knows?

DETERMINING DESTINY

Romans 8:28, “And we know that in all things God works for the good
of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”

ALL things. In the original Greek, the word “all” means ALL.

The Dimming of a “Bright” Idea?

From the website for something called the “Billion Soul Initiative,”

Dr. James O. Davis writes, under the headline, “Birth of a Vision”:

“It was 2001, and Dr. Bill Bright (founder of Campus Crusade for

Christ) was about to make the first public announcement of a brand

new goal. To get to Springfield, he had flown on a private plane

because of a debilitating illness. As he climbed the stairs, wheezing

through oxygen tubes…the Presbyters broke the silence with a

standing ovation for the greatest soul-winner of the modern era.
“Just six months earlier…, I left a meeting in that same building with

Praise Report…God is surely NOT limited!

This morning, Robert Fitts ministered by phone from Hawaii to a group of 1100

trying raise the money for a motorbike so that he can better serve the 800 churches

he has planted…STILL time to give, by the way!

Here is Iftikhar’s Praise Report written to Robert Fitts from that meeting. The Word

of God was preached with signs following. WOW!

Idaho Statesman Article…Enjoy!

The following LINK to the Idaho Statesman was just received from my

friend Larry Silverman. Larry and Corinne criss-cross the nation in an

RV spreading the Gospel of the Kingdom and sharing the Simple Church

concept with anyone who asks. An awesome couple! We met at the

North Central Texas House Church Conference in January. Invite them

to speak at YOUR next event! Check out the link below.
His message was:

“In today’s Idaho Statesman is the article that some of us have been

waiting for, as it was expected to be in there about 2 weeks ago.”

God is looking for Co-Laborers. Interested?

Does anyone recall the 29-year old minister in Pakistan - a man named

Iftikhar - who oversees 800 House Churches? Well, my friend,

Robert Fitts, recently spoke to him by phone as he translated what he

was saying to 340 leaders. This Sunday,  Robert will be doing the

same to a gathering of over 700.

Robert writes: This letter just came and I feel the need of much prayer

to prepare my heart to be used of God to minister to over 700 people

Home Church or Traditional Church - Does It Matter?

If your home church is like a traditional church, then no it does not matter.
But if it is like a New Testament church, then yes, for the Kingdom?s sake
it matters. Let?s take a look at some of the things that make a difference.

The New Testament has many references to the love the church had for
each other. Jesus said that men would know that we are his disciples
because of the love we have for one another. In the traditional church,
it is hard to form close relationships. You are not allowed to visit and
get to know one another during the meeting, so you are restricted to the
time in the foyer before and after the service. Then it is mostly limited
to polite greetings. How can you love people you don?t know?

Now you know!

I felt very convicted about writing the following message.

If anyone reading this has ever been present at any House Church meeting where I was

speaking, I wanted to let you know that I am NEVER TOO BUSY to answer

any follow-up questions you might have regarding House Church and we are certainly

willing to return if necessary. Who knows? The question you have might be one that

many others need an answer to as well. It never fails that, after we leave, or after

we’ve consulted with our pillow, a question pops into our minds that we wish we

Paying Obeisance to Planned Obsolescence

A diabolically clever marketing concept is one referred to as ” PlannedObsolescence.” This can be defined as the conscious decision on the

part of a retailer to produce products that will become obsolete and/or

non-functional within a defined time frame. This causes consumers to

have to buy the product repeatedly, as their old one is no longer

functional or desirable. From cars to computers, commerce to clothing,

the marketing world has been taking advantage of - and in many cases,

creating - the consumer’s short attention span since the 1920’s when

Dinner is served!

Back when I was the Assistant Pastor of a 300-member charismatic

church, I was also in charge of the Children’s Ministry, newborns

through high school. Over 30 volunteers signed up to assist, including

high school and college students. It never failed that, on any given

Sunday morning, someone scheduled to work would approach me in

the hall and say, “I’m sorry, Pastor Mike…but I can’t help you…

I need to get fed today. I need to sit under the Word.”

So, guess who had to take care of their class?

Regarding the motorcycle

Dear friends,

If you are one who pledged to help with Iftikhar’s motorcycle in Pakistan, I’m

hoping to send him the money by NEXT Monday, June 25th. What a day of

rejoicing that will be! Iftikhar, as you will recall, is the 29 year old man who

has planted 800 churches there. Incidentally, my friend, Robert Fitts, has

been conducting training with church leaders there by phone with Iftikhar

translating. Robert will do the same this Sunday’s service at Iftikhar’s church.

My prayer for YOU!

I always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when I pray for
you, because I have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love
you have for all the saints - the faith and love that spring from the hope
that is stored up for you in Heaven and that you have already heard
about in the word of truth, the Gospel that has come to you. All over the
world this Gospel is bearing fruit and growing, just as it has been doing
among you since the day you heard it and understood God’s grace in all
its truth.

From the H2H website

Report from Burundi

Most people who hear that we have grown from 14 house churches in May to about 90 to 100 in 7 months want to know what we are doing & can this be done in other places. I am quite sure that we had more than 100 churches & probably many more new converts in recent weeks, but most of the growth is coming through new churches starting new churches, who sometimes have begun in new areas that we don’t know about for weeks, & most of our church planters don’t have phones or email. So at any given moment things are happening that we haven’t heard about to report .
