Why? Because His Doctrine was centered around the Gospel of THE KINGDOM. That's the point. How can Christians OBEY that Gospel if we are clueless as to what it is? We have the Gospel of Salvation down to an art...but so what, considering it's not even what we should be focused upon. Salvation comes to those who are in God's kingdom. Part of the package, one might say. It's what any good King will do for His subjects and children. Our modern emphasis is far too greatly centered upon salvation and, subsequently, our differing "salvation methods." that leads to numbers and that has led to a weak, impotent Western Church. I am all for you, Mike. Please do not think otherwise. However,
