Now, why are we doing this?

Not long ago, author Frank Viola asked me if I’d ever read his book
“Pagan Christianity.” Well, I just did and, mercy! What an eye-opener!
I had the privilege of attending two of Viola’s sessions at a conference
last Labor Day weekend. A woman there who had read the book
quipped, “After I read it, I realized I wasn’t even a Christian!” I like
the book because it’s loaded with footnotes and is quite scholarly in
its approach, yet it’s a very easy read.

AN INCREDIBLE DAY IN STEPHENVILLE, TEXAS!

Saturday was an incredible day here in Stephenville. Not only did many people from a variety of denominations join together in “Operation:Jesus!” going door-to-door asking people how they could pray for them, but a team of women from Coppell, Texas made the 3-hour trek, quietly entering our town for a day of training, impartation and blessing that, many felt, will change this place at a very deep level.

It was phenomenal!

Warning the Gullible about Global Warming

Isn’t it strange that, with all the talk about Global Warming (GW), we

just had one of the coldest winters we’ve had in a long time? The 2007

Farmers’ Almanac, whose predictions are up to 85% accurate, predicts

frigid temperatures, as much as 20 degrees below seasonal norms (and

nearly 40 degrees colder than last winter), for Montana, the Dakotas

and parts of Wyoming. For the Gulf Coast up through New England,

unseasonably cold, or “shivery,” conditions are expected. Snow, and

lots of it, is also forecast for the nation’s midsection, parts of New

The Spirit of Murder

Are we REALLY that surprised by the recent campus slaughter?

Personally, I’m surprised that kind of thing doesn’t occur MORE

often. Surely we aren’t that good at rounding up all the “crazies”

in society and placing them in mental institutions.

Whether it was V-tech, the UT sniper, such mass killings are less

common than plane crashes. Fortunately, they happen once in a blue

moon. Although the shooting at V-Tech was terrible, it pales in

comparison to some of the horrific tragedies that are happening on

Jumping the Gun. Losing our Soul.

Recently, here in Texas, a nursing home janitor who
had been terminated, later returned with a gun and
held the place hostage. There were cops, plenty of
media attention but, thankfully, it all ended without
any violence.

As a Workplace Chaplain, hired by a nursing home
chain with over 500 employees in ten locations, I
couldn’t help but wonder if things might have been
different if that janitor had access to the services of
a company Chaplain who could counsel him, pray
with him, help him to leave his job with dignity and
hope that God STILL had a plan for him - and maybe
even help him find another job.

Could it happen here?

By now, we’ve all heard about the terrible tragedy at Virginia Tech.
Now we’re hearing from a teacher who was so frightened and concerned
about some of the killer’s assignments that she took the matter “upline.”

Nothing was done.

Something COULD have been done.

A few weeks ago, a janitor was fired from a nursing home in the metroplex.
He returned later with a gun. The matter ended peacefully, but it could have
had a Virginia Tech-style ending.

Again, something could have been done. The situation did NOT have to
escalate.

EVER FORWARD!

Apr 17 (1 day ago)

Over the years, by way of this online ministry, I have been asked

MANY times to preach in other nations. Just this week, ministers

in Ghana and Nigeria have asked me, not to mention two groups in

Texas. I will pray about each instance but, from the standpoint of

stewardship, it seems my resources are best spent writing.

I had a vision one day in 1999 as I looked into my black computer

monitor. I saw a white dot on my screen that grew ever larger as

I stared. I saw it! The word “PLANET” was coming toward me, growing

ever larger as I looked on. In time, the word outgrew my screen and

literally shot right THROUGH me.

In that instant, I KNEW in my KNOWER that I am to be about the

business of reaching the planet. This online ministry seems to best

serve that purpose.

DID YOU KNOW…

WE - you and me together - can literally reach millions by computer

with each message God gives me if we will ALL FORWARD each

message to five others. That’s all we have to do. If you have a

calculator, do the math:

- If everyone will FORWARD each message to just 10 people who

will forward the messages just 5 times each, that’s 50 more people.

- If those 50 will forward to just 5 people each, they’ve reached another 250.

- If those 250 will forward to five more each, that’s 1,250.

- If those 1,250 will do likewise - just 5 people each -

we’ve reached 6,250.

- When those 6,250 do the same, we’ve reached 31,250.

- If they do likewise, that’s 156,250 people across the globe.

- When they each forward to five more, we’re up to 781,250.

- If THEY do likewise…that’s NEARLY 4 MILLION PEOPLE!!

We could do that several times a month! Many times a year!

Talking about feeding the multitudes!

AND IT’S FREE!

Add to these numbers those who are posting these messages to their

websites, those who are preaching and teaching from these messages,

those who are publishing the messages in newsletters, passing them on, etc.

We have been blessed with many tools for spreading the Gospel.

Whatever tools YOU use, if you are regularly reading anything that I

broadcast, I’m asking that you PLEASE pray about something…

Please pray abut COMMITTING to FORWARD these broadcasts.

Oh…please tell me approximately HOW MANY you plan to FORWARD TO

or are CURRENTLY forwarding to. Thanks!

Let’s give ‘em Heaven!

Now, FORWARD this message to at least FIVE OTHERS!

Every Blessing,

Michael Tummillo

True Story

The following article is 100% TRUE according to Snopes.com…and I’m GLAD!

You should go there and read what else it says about this inspirational teacher.

Back in September of 2005, on the first day of school, Martha Cothren,
a social studies school teacher at Robinson High School in Little Rock , did
something not to be forgotten.

On the first day of school, with permission of the school superintendent,
the principal and the building supervisor, she took all of the desks
out of the classroom.

How blessed are the Wardians!

Who are the Wardians? YOU are the Wardians…those under the employ of Diane Ward.

Why are we blessed? Because Diane cared enough about YOUR spiritual lives to provide a Workplace Chaplain, a rising trend among some of America’s most progressive corporations, by the way. That’s right…we’re on the cutting edge! It’s an honor and a privilege for me to serve you in this way and it’s making a difference in the lives of many who - for a myriad of reasons - tell me they cannot get to traditional church services. Whether it’s their weariness with perceived hypocrisy, their own lack of “churchy” attire, the stress of getting kids ready on their only day off, for many, Bible Study attendance IS the only Church they have.

To the Ladies of Rutgers…and those with ears to hear.

Like everyone else, radio talk show host, Don Imus, has done and said some really dumb things. Fortunately for most of us, our SNAFU’s aren’t shot around the planet for all the world to see.

For the handful who aren’t aware of what Ol’ Don did, and for the benefit of the millions of earthlings who couldn’t give a rat’s tail, in a nutshell, Imus stuck his foot in his mouth while commenting on the Woman’s Rutgers basketball team that lost the NCAA women’s championship game to Tennessee last week. His exact words? He thoughtlessly referred to the Rutgers players as “nappy-headed hoes.”

Let’s talk about PORN

Over the years, I have ministered to many people who were struggling with online porn. I’ve received phone calls from young women who found porn on their husband’s computers. I’ve heard from older men by eMail who found themselves out of control because of porn.

HOW TO STOP CHURCH GOSSIP

Mildred, the church gossip, and self-appointed monitor of the
church’s morals, kept sticking her nose in to other people’s business. Several members did not approve of her extra curricular activities, but feared her enough to maintain their silence.

She made a mistake, however, when she accused Frank, a new member, of being an alcoholic after she saw his old pickup parked in front of the town’s only bar one afternoon. She emphatically told Frank (and several others) that everyone seeing it there would know what he was doing.

Taking Hold of the Resurrection Power

There are certain things that we read in Scripture that many people simply have a hard time wrapping their minds around. Here’s one, for example: The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead dwells within you (Romans 8:11).

Do you believe that?

Personally, I don’t believe we can be reminded of this truth often ENOUGH. I daresay, it’s because we are NOT reminded of this that the Church remains so impotent and ineffective. As 2 Timothy 3:5 says, we have a “form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!”

Fig Leaves for the Catholic faithful

I can recall sitting in the pew of a Catholic Church as a boy. I had always wondered why it was that, at Communion time, some people remained seated or kneeling in a very prayerful, pious position while others shuffled forward to humbly receive the bread and wine. As time went on, and the length of time between my confessions grew too long (in my own opinion) and the types of sins I was capable of committing grew “worse” (again, in my own opinion), I found that, I, too, would refrain from taking communion because, in my own opinion, I was simply unworthy.

House2House-Women in Leadership

WOMEN IN LEADERSHIP IN THE KINGDOM

By Felicity Dale

The body of Christ in the Western world is hemiplegic. (Hemiplegia is a medical term used to describe paralysis of one side of the body such as occurs after a stroke.) If you look at any gathering of leaders in a Christian context, including that of simple church, the majority of them are male. Women are conspicuous by their absence. Half the body of Christ is, for the most part, not functioning.

Where are the women? Why are we not seeing more women in leadership?

HEY, CHRISTIANS!

Are you interested in turning your home into an outreach center? Here are some powerful tools that allow “whosoever will” to turn their house into a hub for Kingdom activity. These ministries include:

1) The Prayer Clinic*
Ongoing instruction in the ministry of divine healing

2) Ministry Training Schools (MTS)*

Through MTS, we teach the word of God through discussion Bible study. We also minister healing and deliverance in the name of Jesus, following Paul’s example and the example of Jesus. It is our prayer that the teaching, healing and deliverance ministry of the MTS will be so powerful in every city that it will be said of us what was said of the early disciples in the city of Jerusalem: “You have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine.”
